Public ParticipationPublic participation is an essential step in the transportation planning process. MAPA's Public Participation Plan guides MAPA's public outreach efforts for its transportation planning activities. MAPA strives to involve the public and to foster an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere throughout the transportation planning process. MAPA endeavors to take a proactive approach in reaching out to protected groups and implementing of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Executive Order 12898 on Environmental Justice, which addresses disproportionately high and adverse impacts on minority and low-income populations. |
