Long Range Transportation Plan 2035

The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) 2035 is a comprehensive plan projecting the transportation needs for the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area for the next 25 years. This plan takes a comprehensive approach to addressing transportation in our area. The plans, projections, and proposed solutions aim to increase the quality of life for area residents. Additionally, in order to be eligible for federal funding, projects must be listed in the LRTP.

This thorough analysis of current conditions and projections for the future lay out a blueprint of how to transform transportation in the area to meet future needs.

An amendment to MAPA's Long Range Transportation Plan is currently available for public comment until March 26th. 2015. This amendment includes an additional alignment for the Central Omaha Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project and updates the fiscal constraint analysis to include expected federal and local revenues for the project.
